Sue Flohr MBE Dyslexia Specialist

About Me

Hi, I'm Sue Flohr MBE. I am a UK-based dyslexia specialist with over 30 years of experience supporting individuals with dyslexia across all age groups—primary, secondary, further/higher education, and the workplace.

My Qualifications and Experience

My qualifications include a BA (Hons) in Language Studies and a Postgraduate Diploma in Specific Learning Difficulties (Dyslexia). I hold an Assessment Practising Certificate (APC) to diagnose dyslexia and professional membership with the British Dyslexia Association (BDA). Additionally, I am fully insured and DBS-checked.

Over the years, I’ve worked extensively with government and decision-makers to improve the lives of dyslexic individuals. For my contributions, I was honoured with an MBE in 2015. I also actively serve on boards such as the European Dyslexia Association and the BDA Assistive Technology Committee, staying at the forefront of developments in dyslexia support.
